What's Next

Open questions I am sitting with at the time of writing. None of them have a clean answer. Some of them may never have one.

1. 01Community led mapping — how to bring informal paths and unrecorded boundaries into a planning file without removing them from community control.
2. 02Planning files that admit what they do not know — how to write an official document that is honest about the parts of the parcel history that are still unclear.
3. 03Former estate land — how to acknowledge the inheritance without weaponising it in present-day disputes.
4. 04Coastal change — what to do when the boundary that the registry trusts is being moved by the sea every year.
5. 05Open data — what can responsibly be published, what cannot, and who decides.

I expect the next two years of work to revolve around the first two. If I find a clean answer, it will appear in a later edition of this guide. If I do not, that will also appear.
